About LUXITA for LIFE
More Than Just a Salon
We are proud to be the first 100% non-profit beauty and nail salon that actively educates, builds, and saves lives. Founded through funding from LUXITA, a five star award-winning salon and cosmetics company originating in Tokyo, LUXITA for Life is built by beauty experts. We have three main functions: a scholarship program to teach skills in the beauty industry to impoverished youth, non-profit salons and emergency shelters for vulnerable children.
Scholarship Program
In the heart of Uganda, many youth face unimaginable challenges, often struggling to provide for their families while dealing with hunger and limited opportunities.LUXITA for Life seeks out these individuals—those with dreams but lacking the means to achieve them. Through our comprehensive scholarship program, we provide education to become professional beauticians and nail artists, covering everything from tuition to room and board, food, and transportation.
Eco Friendly Salon Construction
But our commitment doesn’t end here. Once our students graduate and gain valuable experience, we refurbish shipping containers into nail salons. The eco-friendly salons give opportunity to the new beauticians and nail artists to earn a sustainable income, support their families, and train future beauty professionals, creating a ripple effect of positive change.
Safe Haven for impoverished children
Through donations and funds from our LUXITA for Life salons, we build safe havens for hunger-stricken children. We document and support malnourished children in our shelter, while helping them find stable, loving homes through collaboration with orphanages across the country. We have currently identified 25 children in need at our first proposed location in Mityana, Uganda.
